Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon: Another Glowing Success!!

“We love Our Volunteers” isn’t just a slogan for the officers and directors of Florida Exotic Bird Sanctuary. Indeed, our love was on full display August 17 during the annual volunteer appreciation luncheon.

Nearly 24 people, about 18 of whom volunteer at FEBS, attended the event this year. The luncheon buffet offered a variety of entrees, sandwiches and sides, with specialty cupcakes for dessert. Each volunteer received an appreciation gift bag and a heartfelt letter of thanks from the Board of Directors. The event was a grand success and enjoyed by everyone!

We love you because you’re loyal, willing to tackle any task in your “wheelhouse”, always ready with a smile and kind word for those around you, and clearly caring about and loving towards all the birds you encounter – even those that lunge at you!

You are appreciated more than words can adequately express!! We’ve walked in your shoes, so we know full well the sacrifices you make to care for our feathered wards. May you and your family be blessed now and always!
