Hurricane Helene

Writer's picture: StephDStephD

We wanted to reach out to everyone and let you know that Hurricane Helena thankfully moved to the West of Hudson. All of the birds are safe and sound!

The Sanctuary land has a high elevation so there was also no flooding. Although many of the surrounding communities had flood damage, we are blessed it had no impact on the Sanctuary. We are eternally grateful to our Staff, Volunteers and Board of Directors for helping with preparation in the days before the storm as well as helping put everything back together after the storm passed. This is a true testament to the dedication, love and care of the birds in our life long care.

Our prayers go out to the many people who had devastating damage from this catastrophic Hurricane.

Thank you all for your continued support and trust in us to do everything possible to keep over 700 Parrots safe and secure.

With warmest regards, team FEBS
