Enrichment is vital!

Here at the Sanctuary we are constantly working towards growing our own enrichment for the Parrots. Living in zone 9-a (gardeners speak) our tropical environment allows us to grow a variety of Parrot friendly produce. We have many people that volunteer locally bringing us cutting or trees, which is fantastic! . It is a great pleasure to pluck a Papaya off a tree and give it to the birds, as they would in the wild!

Next month we have an Eagle Scout Troup that is going to build raised garden beds for this continued purpose! We can't wait to share all the love and fruits of their labor!

Our pumpkins are still arriving so let's keep that going guys!
